Prepare for Graduate-Level Medical Degrees With a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science
Graduates of the BS in Biomedical Science may choose to advance their medical studies by pursuing medical, physician assistant, osteopathic, dental or veterinary school. The BS in Biomedical Science curriculum is aligned with the principles and concepts assessed on medical entrance exams. In partnership with St. George’s University (SGU), Beal University has established a pathway for students looking to pursue a career in medicine . You will spend 34 months* completing the Biomedical Sciences degree program at Beal and then will continue onto a Medical (MD) at SGU.
Admission Requirements:
Admission to Beal University’s Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences program
- Completed SGU Supplemental Application
- Background information, Essay, Optional Information, Attestation
- High School Transcript:
- Strong background in the sciences with demonstrated leadership qualities
- SAT/ACT
- While not required by SGU, students who have previously taken the SAT/ACT are required to submit the scores.
- Two letters of recommendation
- Prefer at least one LOR from science teacher
- Encourage involvement with school, community and/or extracurricular activities. Such attributes are considered favorably.
- SGU Admissions Interview
- Student reviewed by FSSC for provisional acceptance to SGU
